Miss Teen Texas 2008. Sydney, a founding member of Girls4Life, was crowned Miss Teen Texas at the Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas on July 5, 2008. Sydney's platform, "Better, Not Bitter, Moving Beyond Pain", is to motivate those facing trials to rise above their challenges confidently and with the knowledge that one day, they will be better, not bitter. Sydney will go on to compete in the America's Outstanding Teen competition in Orlando, Florida the week of August 11, 2008. NEWSFLASH: Girls4Life Return to the Stage
After a long overdue break, Girls4Life will return to the stage in late Spring 2008 with a repertoire of original songs, written and produced by the Myers Brothers Band. They will debut their new material at a private party and press conference, followed by a series of performances throughout North Texas. Stay tuned!

Girls4Life with Lance Armstrong.When Senator Jane Nelson invited Girls4Life to join the campaign to get out the vote for Proposition 15, they hit the campaign trail with a passion, encouraging and inspiring Texans to vote at every opportunity. Including their Texas State Fair performance on the Chevy Main Stage before the Jonas Brothers and a record breaking crowd. Girls4Life went on to entertain and inspire crowds on the Lance Armstrong Proposition 15 Bus Tour. On November 6th, 2007, Texans along with Lance Armstrong celebrated the passage of Prop 15. Prop. 15 is the largest state-level investment in cancer research and prevention ever made. The $3 billion dollar investment in cancer research and prevention sends a loud and clear message that Texans are united in the fight against cancer.
Watch the video of our journey to pass Prop. 15, and look for Girls4Life, standing with Lance Armstrong on the stage during his victory speech, a defining moment in their fight against cancer.

NEWSFLASH: Girls4Life will perform at the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3-Day on Saturday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m.
Main Stage at the SMU Campus Breast Cancer Three Day staging area, Dallas, Texas. The performance is closed to registered participants in the event, a three day walk by thousands of North Texans to raise funds for a cure for breast cancer. .

Girls4Life will perform with the Myers Brothers Band at rally with Senator Jane Nelson and Lance Armstrong in Granbury Town Square at noon, Monday, October 15. The public is invited to come and hear about the cancer bill, proposition 15.

NEWSFLASH: Girls4Life Team Up with Senator Nelson & Lance Armstrong
Girls4Life are proud to announce that Senator Jane Nelson, R-Lewisville, has invited Girls4Life to join her in supporting the referendum to establish Texas as the nation's premiere cancer research center. Senator Nelson personally invited Girls4Life to attend a bill signing ceremony with Senator Nelson, Lance Armstrong and Governor Rick Perry at UT Southwestern on Wednesday, June 12, 2007. Girls4Life will join Senator Nelson and the Lance Armstrong Foundation-Livestrong, The American Cancer Society,Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Kill Cancer and the Texas Medical Association in the fall of 2007 to kick off the effort to pass the referendum. The legislation establishes the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas, which will operate with up to $300 million per year, taking a giant leap forward in the effort to fight cancer in Texas.
